I snapped this swan when it was alone on the mere. A couple of days later there are four fairly mature signets too. And a little grebe. And a heron. And a kingfisher. All at once!
This blog is about sightings of wildlife and nature in the Watercress Wildlife Association's local nature reserve in St Albans. The sightings are largely made by the committee members. We are using a blog so that the up-to-date sightings will be useful to other members. In time the archive will also be informative about how animal and flora patterns are changing over the years
